Could the Great Tribulation Begin by 2029?

By Ray Gano

I want to state right up front that this is pure speculation.  I say that because God can flip the hourglass over and let the sands of time run on.

The one thing that I have noticed is that man seems to repeat himself about every 100 years or so, give or take a few years. This is also backed up in scripture in Ecclesiastes 1.

For example, do you know that we are overdue for a global pandemic? The last major killer was in 1918 and it was the Spanish Flu.

The Spanish flu, also known as the 1918 flu pandemic, was an unusually deadly influenza pandemic, the first of the two pandemics involving H1N1 influenza virus. It infected 500 million people around the world, including people on remote Pacific islands and in the Arctic, and resulted in the deaths of over 100 million people, making it one of the deadliest natural disasters in human history.

Just to give you an idea, the population of the United States is 327,973,452. So close to one-third of the people living in America today died. That means that if you pick yourself and two other people, one of you would have died in the Spanish Flu pandemic.

When you start looking at history and statistics, you start seeing generational trends. Since the time of Paul and the Apostles, around the end of a 100-year cycle, people thought that the end of the world was coming.

In a lot of cases wars, plague and ruthless leaders caused many to think that the end was near.  But it seemed that God would flip over the hourglass of time and let the sands run another 100 years.

How Long is A Biblical Generation?

Readers Digest answer: 70-80 years.

Psalms 90:10 (KJV) says, “The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.”

In other words, the number of years people live on average is 70, and possibly 80 if they are strong and of good constitution.

As we can see, this holds true…

United Nations World Population Prospects

Worldwide, the average life expectancy at birth was 71.5 years (68 years and 4 months for males and 72 years and 8 months for females) over the period of 2010 to 2015, according to United Nations World Population Prospects 2015 Revision, or 69 years (67 years for males and 71.1 years for females) for 2016, according to The World Factbook. According to the 2015 World Health Organization (WHO) data, women on average live longer than men in all major regions and in all individual countries.

We also see that Matthew maintains this definition as well. The apostle Matthew and in his reciting of Christ’s generations follow the Psalms 90:10 definition of a generation, 70 years.

Matthew 1:17 (KJV): “So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.”

Matthew is using the Psalm 90 definition of a generation in order to tell a specific chronological time story of our Lord Jesus Christ.

So, if Matthew is using it pertaining to and qualifying our Lord, we should use it also.

With all that said, and just doing simple math, 1948, plus 70 years, comes to 2018.

But it is now 2019. Are we now living in the end of the age?

What About the Tribulation?

Odds are very good that you have been taught that the tribulation is going to last seven years.  This is an idea that has been promote by many well-known authors.

But what does the Bible say?

Believe it or not, the Bible specifically shows us that the tribulation is three-and-a-half years.

I challenge you to look up the following:

Daniel 7:25

Daniel 12:7

Revelation 11:1-3

Revelation 12:6

Revelation 12:14

Revelation 13:5

All these verses point to the fact that the tribulation lasts for three-and-a-half years. Yes, a lot of people like to play word games and all that claiming it’s seven years, but it’s there in the Bible at three-and-a-half years.

Now, there is a seven-year period, and we can see that in Matthew 24:15-21 and Daniel 9:27.

Many authors and teachers say this is the tribulation and then there is the Great Tribulation. Yes, there are some bad things happening during this first, three-and-a-half years. But nothing like the Great Tribulation.

We know that there is a seven-year period because of the Abomination of Desolation that takes place in the middle of this time period that we read about in Daniel 9:27.

Looking at all of this, the time that is left is three-and-a-half years for the tribulation period.

Remember, it’s the Abomination of Desolation that starts the tribulation.

So, why do I bring all this up?

2029 – The End?

Will it be the end or not?

Will the Great Tribulation start in 2029?

Will the Battle of Armageddon take place in 2029?

Will the rapture happen and then the whole world goes into a tailspin and the Great Tribulation starts then?

Will the Great Tribulation start half-way through 2025?

If President Donald Trump wins a second term, and I pray he does, his term will end in 2024.

Then there are these little-known verses that point to something happening:

Micah 5:5-6: “And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men. And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus, shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.”

I have shared these before. In fact, Micah 5 basically describes the Battle of Armageddon when Jesus Christ returns.

Who are the seven shepherds and eight principle men?

I believe they are nations, or nation states or groups of people, who stand against the Antichrist.

Will all this happen around 2029?

What happens if it is sooner rather than later?

Or will God choose to turn the hourglass over for another 100 years?

The question is no matter what takes place, what are you going to do?

Are you going to hide in some corner, laying in the fetal position, wishing it will all go away?

Or, will you use this time that God has given us to make a difference?

Personally, I think it is exciting to be living during this time and literally see Bible prophecy coming about.

Many things have taken place that show us that we are living in the last days.

But with a mere thought God could change the course of time and we could continue.

Speculation…it is an interesting thing to do from time to time.

What do you speculate about what I have presented?

I would be interested in hearing from you, so please give me your thoughts.

Ray Gano, the executive director of Prophezine, was born in the early 60’s and raised in the Silicon Valley in California. He attended a private Christian school from 5th grade through high school. He’s known the Lord all his life, but only started really serving Him 110 percent in about 1993. He’s been into Bible prophecy much of his Christian walk. He lives in Texas with his wife Tracye and their four children. While visiting his best friend in Montana, he told him about what was going on in the world and that our time here is short. At first, he blew him off and said, “Yeah right, Rapture and the Mark of the Beast.” Tim told Ray to check it out for himself. So, as a good Berean would, he started digging into the Word and watching the news. Pieces of the puzzle started to come together. Israel a nation… Russia… the EU… smart cards… bio-chips… on and on it went. All this time Tim and Ray were sending e-mails back and forth keeping each other abreast of any news they found out. A little time later more people joined Ray’s e-mail list. And that is how Prophezine came about. Ever since that time Ray has had a sense of urgency about spreading the Gospel— telling people about the Good News that our Lord is returning soon. He started publishing Prophezine in about 1993.
